Apostle Collette Lewis Gunby

Dr. Collette L. Gunby is President and Senior Pastor of Green Pastures Chris- tian Ministries, Inc., a ministry igniting people for a better world. Dr. Gunby distinguished her professional career at Equifax Corporation for over a decade, bringing to her current position a wealth of knowledge, corporate positioning and expertise to guide her into a 21st Century Ministry.

In 1979, Ronald and Collette L. Gunby began G.P.C.M., Inc. In 1982, Pastor Gunby and her husband Ronald E. Gunby started Green Pastures Christian School.This well established educational setting proudly serves from six weeks old through ninth grade with a state of the arts curriculum.

Through Dr. Gunby’s leadership, Green Pastures Christian Ministries, Inc. was awarded over $7 million dollars for capital improvements from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to complete providing upscale housing for 74 seniors, known as Green Pasures Commons.

In 2001, GPCM, Inc. received $400,000 for the DeKalb YouthBuild Program which serviced youth at risk in DeKalb County. Green Pastures Christian Ministries, Inc. also acquired a six-acre tract of commercial property in the prestigious Atlanta University Center area in the West End Com- munity of Atlanta for re-development. A shared vision between Russell New Urban Develop- ment, LLC and Collette L. Gunby brought their resources together to build a multi-million dollars Sky Lofts revitalization project. This development consists of 205 condominiums and com- mercial leasing space to be completed in 2008.

Pastor Gunby is a noted speaker throughout America and Internationally and has authored and published three books: “The Plumbline”, “Through Shadows of Death” and “Courageous Women – Chosen to Lead.” Pastor Gunby also co-authored “Failure the Womb of Success.”

Other achievements include the 25 year dramatic musical production: “King of Glory” boast- ing a 250-cast performance and an annual audience of over 25,000. Pastor Gunby presently serves on The Board of Trustees of Beulah Heights University, the South DeKalb Church Coalition, Teen Challenge of Georgia, Fellowship of Metropolitan Atlanta Churches, and various other boards and committees in the community. In 2006, Pastor Gunby started Green Pastures College of Theology under the auspices of North Carolina College of Theology. Pastor Gunby received a Doctorate of Theology from North Carolina College of Theology in 2007 and has also received an Honorary Doctorate from Beulah Heights University in May 2008.

From humble beginnings GPCM, Inc. and its subsidiaries boast in the many blessings God has given through Pastor Gunby’s leadership and the support of her wonderful staff and congregation.

Collette L. Gunby is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She was married to the late Ronald E. Gunby with two wonderful children born as a result of this union, Kelly Gunby, Douglas R. E. Gunby and three wonderful grandkids Deshon Gunby, Tiffanni Gunby, and Kristopher Gunby.
